Tomato, Mozzarella & Basil Pizza

This delicious pizza layers with simple tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella cheese, fresh tomatoes and basil is quick and easy. Finish this pizza under the grill to get the the mozzarella cheese melted    

Chocolate-Hazelnut Peach Tart

Serves 6-8

  • 450 g, (1 pound) prepared , Pizza Dough  at room temperature

  • 1/4 cup simple Tomato Sauce

  • 100 g  fresh mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced

  • 2 fresh tomatoes

  • Fresh basil leaves

  • Extra-virgin olive oil, for drizzling


1. Preheat the oven to 260°C (500° F) for at least 45 minutes.

2. Working on a floured surface and using your fingers, press and stretch the Pizza Dough out to a 25 cm (10-inch) round. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured pizza round trays.

3. Spread tomato sauce evenly over crust, leaving a 2,5 cm (1-inch) border. Top with the mozzarella cheese, tomatoes slices, basil leaves and a drizzle of the extra-virgin olive oil.

4. Turn the oven to broil for 5 minutes, then return it to 260°C (500° F). Bake until the bottom is lightly charred and the toppings are bubbling, about 6 minutes for a chewier crust and 8 minutes for a crispier one. Avoid opening the oven door during baking.
