Cremini Mushrooms Tartines

Chocolate-Hazelnut Peach Tart

A tasty and quick to prepare easy appetizer.


Serves 4

  • 1 french bread, sliced

  • 3 Tbsp olive oil

  • 1 garlic clove, finely chopped

  • 1/2 tsp thyme

For Tartine Mix

  • 10 (1/2 pound) cremini mushrooms, or a mix of wild mushrooms, chopped

  • 2 Tbsp olive oil

  • 1 garlic clove, finely chopped

  • 2 small shallots, chopped

  • 2 Tbsp dried tomatoes, chopped

  • 2 Tbsp dry white wine

  • salt and black pepper​

  • oregano, dried (if desired)​



1. In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, thyme and garlic. Toss slices of french bread with olive mixture. Spread coated bread slices on a cookie sheet. Bake for 3 minutes or until they are golden.

​2. Heat oil in a large frying pan over high heat. Add shallots and garlic. Sauté, stirring often, about 1 minute or ​until tender.

​3. Add the mushrooms and cook, stirring for about 2-3 minutes. Add the dried tomatoes and the wine and season with salt and pepper. Heat to medium, cover, and cook for about five minutes or until wilted.
